The boss of Iowa's Democratic Party quit after its caucus turned into an embarrassing disaster

• Troy Price stepped down as chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) on Wednesday following the disastrous 2020 Iowa caucus.
• The Democrats' Iowa caucus dissolved into chaos after the results were delayed due to "inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results."
• "There is no doubt that the process of reporting results did not work," Price wrote in his resignation letter. "It was simply unacceptable. It is why I called for an independent review of the decisions and processes that lead [sic] to this failure."

The chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) quit his role in the wake of the disastrous 2020 Iowa caucus, which were plagued by technical problems that delayed the results.

Troy Price, who served as the chair of the IDP, gave his resignation to the State Central Committee on Wednesday.
