When Schiff - officially speaking in Congress in a forum aimed to uphold the law in a judicial sense - introduced his "essence of what the president communicates" in the Ukraine phone call (and clearly expecting that the real phone transcript would not be released by the White House), Schiff deliberately added rather clear but fake remarks that were never said:
> "I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though. And I'm going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent. Understand? Lots of it, on this and on that."
Those damming words were never said in the phone call. So when, unexpectedly, the White House quickly released the transcript, Schiff doubled-down and blamed everyone else for not recognizing that he - Schiff - was only making a parody! So is that what an official Congressional session is suppose to be - a parody? Is Congress now "Saturday Night Live"? (The leftists media softened that down by giving the excuse that his Congressional speech was "sarcasm")
Trump, in contrast, is (and never was) a lawyer or a politicians. He was always a media personality and speaks as such. If anyone in politics has the legitimate excuse of being like "ordinary" people speaking in parody, sarcasm, dramatic license and just plain speaks like people speak (hyperbole), it is definitely Trump. |
